RN - Operating Room

Plumas District Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room / Perioperative team. The RN will play a key role in providing patient-centered care throughout all phases of surgery—pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative.

This position includes both circulating and scrub responsibilities, assisting surgeons and anesthesia providers, preparing and maintaining the sterile field, supporting patient recovery, and ensuring safe, efficient surgical care.

• Hourly Rate: $48.11 – $68.59 (based on clinical pay scale)
• Sign-On Bonus: $7,500
• Housing Stipend: Paid housing or $1,500/month stipend for first 3 months

• Full-time, benefited position
• Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• On-call required

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
• Active California RN License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong knowledge of perioperative standards and sterile technique

Prefered Experience:

• 1+ year of operating room / surgical nursing experience
• Experience in circulating and/or scrubbing roles
• Background in acute care or outpatient surgery centers

• Strong understanding of the nursing process and perioperative protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to recognize patient or equipment safety hazards
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, and adaptable
