Juan C. Martinez received his Bachelors of Science Biology from Utah Valley University in 2013. He is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) – New York College of Podiatric Medicine, 2017 & Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency – Heritage Valley Health System; Beaver, PA, 2020.

"My background as a podiatrist is dynamic to say the least. I studied at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, located in the heart of New York City. While there, I had the opportunity to learn at some of the most renown hospitals in the country. After podiatry school, I completed a rigorous 3-year foot and ankle surgical training program (aka Residency) in Beaver, Pennsylvania – a small town just outside of Pittsburgh. My professional experience over the last five years has been a mosaic of stark contrasts. I have practiced in the most rural, impoverished towns of California’s Central Valley to the wealthiest suburbs of Los Angeles. Needless to say, I’ve been fortunate to have the experience of treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions."

While visiting Plumas District Hospital, I felt a sense of ability to practice my specialty with a more traditional and personal touch in a tight-knit community. Additionally, having been raised in both Northern California and Northern Nevada, the Sierras have always had a special place in my heart."

Fun facts about Dr. Martinez: "I am bilingual – English & Spanish, my interests outside of work are being outdoors and exploring the great state of California. My favorite music is anything from the ‘70s. My favorite ethnic cuisine is Caribbean food."
