Richard “Rick” Foster was born and raised in Quincy, California. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.
He has spent 40+ cheerful and wonderful years practicing as both a retail pharmacist and a hospital pharmacist. Rick retired in 2010, but still does consulting work for hospitals, and relief work for retail pharmacies.
“I feel Plumas District Hospital is a great asset for the community, and believe that by supporting it by being a member of the foundation, I will help ensure that it will continue to be a viable resource as the Quincy community continues to grow in the future,” he says.
When he’s not working or volunteering, Rick likes to “fix mechanical things,” and works on all kinds of projects like his 1929 Model A Ford, blacksmithing for Plumas-Eureka State Park, and tinkering with bicycles, golf carts, and Blackpowder Firearms.
