IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR 2026: It is with mixed emotions that we announce a 2026 pause in the annual Sierra Nevada Conservation and Wilderness Medicine Conference. We apologize for the disruption of this special event, particularly to those of you already planning and looking forward to this year’s conference.
Several of our Planning Committee members are heavily involved in large hospital projects and programs, including the opening of a Skilled Nursing Facility and Alternative Birthing Center here in Quincy. This has stretched our capacity significantly, leading to the difficult decision of a one-year conference pause.
That said, our committee has continued to meet and plan for 2027 and beyond. The dates for the 2027 conference will be September 10-12, and our theme will be Food as Medicine: Fueling, Healing and Regenerating. Registration will open spring of 2027!
