The 2023 Sierra Nevada Conservation & Wilderness Medicine Conference will be held on September 8th-10th, at a new venue, the UC Berkeley Forestry Camp in Meadow Valley, California!

We encourage all participants to stay in the cabins or bring a tent and camp on site, though you can make other accommodations if you choose. RV camping is not available at the conference venue.

This year's conference theme is WATER: Adapting Healthcare to a Changing Climate.

Our schedule will feature world-class presenters, recreational opportunities, and workshops relating to wilderness medicine and patient care in remote settings.

This high-quality educational event is brought to you at an affordable price through the combined efforts of Plumas District Hospital, Plumas Health Care Foundation, and The UC Forestry Camp. The conference is open to both healthcare and non-healthcare professionals, including students and residents. CMEs will be available. Additional family members are also welcome to attend with an accompanying fee.

Tuition

Tuition Fee includes all lectures, printed materials, breakout sessions, CME Credit, camping fees, and six meals. Camping will be available, and is encouraged at the UC Forestry Camp, conference venue. On-site Outdoor recreational activities will be available during free time on Saturday afternoon. Conference attendees are also free to pursue and organize their own outdoor activities during free time on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Credit or debit card transactions will be processed through Stripe.     Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received in writing more than four weeks prior to event will receive a full refund. Cancellations received in writing two-four weeks prior will receive a refund less a $100.00 administrative fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received within two weeks of the event. Please remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. Individuals are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations.
