The 2022 Sierra Nevada Conservation & Wilderness Medicine Conference will be held at an entirely outside venue, the Pioneer Park in Quincy, California!

Find your community in times of crisis. Join us to explore and gain understanding of the natural wonders and medical perils of wilderness settings. Increase your knowledge of how catastrophic wildfires and climate change impact human health. Learn ways to cope with burnout, which is often coupled with depression and anxiety.
The schedule features world-class presenters, recreational opportunities, and workshops relating to wilderness medicine and patient care in remote settings. There will be afternoon skills stations in splinting, wound care, lifts and carries, and more. Additionally, we will be taking an interpretive hike through wildfire areas with an expert in forest management, wildfire severity, and habitat and forest restoration.
This high-quality educational event is brought to you at an affordable price through the combined efforts of Plumas District Hospital, Plumas Health Care Foundation, and The Plumas County Recreation Dept. The conference is open to both healthcare and non-healthcare professionals, including students and residents, and CMEs will be available. Families are also welcome to attend with an accompanying fee.

Horseshoes, volleyball and bocce ball are also at the conference venue, along with a playground for children. (Pets are not allowed in the park).
Tuition Fee includes all lectures, most outdoor recreational activities, printed materials, breakout sessions, CME Credit, camping fees, and four meals. (Certain recreational activities will require additional fees to register). Camping will be available, and is encouraged at the Pioneer Park, Conference Venue. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed to stay at the park. Credit or debit card transactions will be processed through PayPal. Please note that each additional family member will cost $75 to register. Children ages 12 and under will be allowed to attend for no additional cost.
The additional family member fee covers camping, facilities, 4 meals, Saturday afternoon workshops, and most outdoor recreational activities. The additional family member fee Does Not include CME, CE, or participation in Conference Sessions.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received in writing more than four weeks prior to event will receive a full refund.
Cancellations received in writing two-four weeks prior will receive a refund less a $100.00 administrative fee. There will
be no refunds for cancellations received within two weeks of the event.
Please remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements.
Individuals are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations.
