Plumas District Hospital announces that the Association of California Healthcare Districts recently honored three distinguished leaders in healthcare during its 72nd annual meeting, themed “Building Bridges Together, Cultivating Positive Connections.” The CEO of the Year award was presented to JoDee Johnson, PDH CEO.
The honorees were selected for their exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to the health and wellness of their communities, said organizers. “This year’s recipients are deeply committed to their employees and the communities they serve. In these challenging times for healthcare, they continue to provide steadfast support and visionary leadership,” said Cathy Martin, CEO of ACHD. “We are proud to celebrate these healthcare district leaders and their commitment to expanding access to essential health and wellness services.”
JoDee Johnson has led transformative initiatives that have significantly enhanced patient care, bolstered the hospital’s reputation and improved its financial stability, said PDH. Notable achievements under her leadership include initiation of construction of a new skilled nursing facility, securing ACHD certification to demonstrate her commitment to accountability and transparency, and advocating for legislative changes that have safeguarded essential services and increased funding.
The hospital also reports that Read’s dedication to excellence has fostered a remarkable improvement in the hospital’s organizational culture, resulting in record-high staff morale.
PDH was also nominated for the District of the Year award, and Bill Wickman received a nomination for the Trustee of the Year award.
