DESCRIPTION:The full two-day course is designed for participants seeking first time ACLS certification.If you are a PDH team member\, please use a non-work email to register for this course. \n\nDescription: The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency\, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT\, complex VF/VT\, PEA and asystole)\, four types of prearrest emergencies (bradychardia\, stable tachycardia\, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.\n\nAudience: Personnel staffing emergency\, intensive care or critical care departments\; emergency medical providers such as physicians\, nurses\, emergency technicians\, paramedics\, respiratory therapists and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency.\n\nPlease Bring: Completed mandatory pre-test certificate. Every student must come to class with a current provider manual. PDH employees can sign out a book from Ashley Blesse RN\, Clinical Education Coordinator. Non PDH employees will need to purchase a book from the AHA website.\n\n\n\nPrerequisites: Proficient in current BLS Provider CPR and a completed mandatory pre-course work and exam.\n\n\n\nTo register for two-day course\, complete the Booking Form below.\n\nUpon submitting your registration\, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to access the pre-test. Attendees must pass a pre-test with 70% or higher prior to course.
