SUMMARY:Plumas District Hospital Launches Patient and Family Advisory Council
DESCRIPTION:(Quincy\, CA) – Plumas District Hospital (PDH) is proud to announce the launch of its Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)\, a new initiative designed to strengthen patient and family-centered care by actively engaging community members in healthcare improvement efforts.\n\nThe PFAC will serve as a collaborative forum where patients and family members can share feedback\, perspectives\, and ideas to help improve services\, programs\, and the overall care experience at Plumas District Hospital. By listening directly to those it serves\, PDH aims to ensure that care delivery reflects the real needs and experiences of the community.\n\n“Listening to patients and families is central to our approach to quality and improvement\,” said JoDee Johnson\, CEO. “The Patient and Family Advisory Council allows us to elevate community voices and partner more meaningfully with those we serve.”\n\nThe council will consist of 8 to 12 members who reflect the diversity of the district’s patients and families. Members will meet quarterly and serve two-year terms\, with opportunities for renewal. PFAC members will work collaboratively with PDH staff to offer constructive input that represents the broader community\, rather than individual concerns.\n\nUPDATE TO REFLECT NEW&nbsp\;DATE:&nbsp\;An introductory PFAC meeting will be held Wednesday\, March 4\, from 5:30–6:30 PM\, in person. The in-person meeting will take place in Plumas District Hospital’s Administrative Conference Room\, and refreshments will be provided. Community members interested in learning more about the council or participating are encouraged to attend.\n\nFor those who cannot attend in-person\, a supplementary introduction meeting will be held the next day via zoom on Thursday\, February 19\, from 5:30-6:30 PM.
