SUMMARY:October Health Fair! 
DESCRIPTION:ANNUAL LOW COST HEALTH SCREENING TO TAKE PLACE DURING THE FIRST FULL TWO WEEKS OF OCTOBER. \n\nQUINCY\, CA\, (September 12\, 2025) – Plumas District Hospital will continue to offer its annual Low-Cost Health Screenings during the first two full weeks of October. Potential participants are encouraged to take special note of four primary points: \n\n1)  Appointments are necessary. Appointment scheduling opens on Monday\, September 29th. Call 530-283-2121\, and press *Star* to schedule. \n\n2)  Lab draws will take place in the Rural Health Clinic North Fork Building. \n\n3)  Appointments will be available in the mornings\, Monday – Thursday\, 6:30AM – 8AM\, beginning Monday\, October 6th and will run until Thursday\, October 16th. \n\n4)  Walk-ins will not be accepted.\n\nIn line with past years\, the health care package is affordable\, ($75)\, and payable by debit/credit card as well as by cash or check on the day of the event. Insurance will not be billed. Testing includes: Complete Blood Count\, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel\, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone\, and Lipid Panel.\n\nFor an additional charge\, Vitamin D screening\, Hemoglobin A1C for diabetes screening\, and prostate cancer screenings (PSA) will be available.  \n\nParticipants will be able to access  results through their patient portal\, at  https://www.pdh.org/patients/healthelife. Participants who do not have a PDH patient portal account will be issued an invitation on the day of their appointment. \n\nParticipants must not eat for 12 hours prior to the blood draw. Continue normal intake of water and take any medication as usual.
