THIRD EMPLOYEE TESTS POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS25-Nov-2020
On November 24, 2020, a third Plumas District Hospital (PDH) employee tested positive for Covid-19.
Plumas District Hospital last night received notice that a member of the Rural Health Clinic staff tested positive for Covid-19. The staff member is not
experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 and is quarantining in their home. Immediate close contacts with potential for exposure have been identified
to undergo testing.
The case was identified through PDH’s internal contact tracing for employees and physicians. Speedy in-house diagnostics provided the positive result within
90 minutes, at which time the employee was notified and promptly left the hospital campus, thereby limiting potential exposure to other staff and patients.
