Midsummer Night's Dream Gala Fundraiser05-Sep-2017
On Thursday, September 14, enjoy an enchanted evening at the West End Theatre for the opening Gala and first performance of one of Shakespeare’s most beloved
comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, to benefit Dramaworks and the Plumas Health Care Foundation.
Filled with fairies, lovers, and rustics, A Midsummer Night’s Dream has something for everyone. Add a misapplied love potion, mistaken identities,
and the most famous play-within-a play ever written, and you have the perfect recipe for hilarity. The language, poetry, and wit of Shakespeare shine
bright in this timeless classic.
When doors open at 6:00 PM, you'll receive a red carpet welcome and be treated to a commemorative “celebrity” photograph. Then step into the enchanted
forest where Quircus silk dancers defy gravity and renaissance performers dance amongst the crowd. Mingle with other theater lovers over a gourmet
appetizer-style dinner and hosted wine bar in the romantic outdoor courtyard.
At 7:30 PM join the first audience to experience the premier performance of the West End Theatre’s presentation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
During intermission, relax and visit as you’re served dessert and coffee. Then following the performance, enjoy champagne, fresh fruit, and a unique
meet-and-greet experience with fairytale characters from the show.
Space is limited. Formal attire is suggested. Tickets are $58 per person; available online at www.westendtheatre.us. All proceeds benefit local non-profits Dramaworks and Plumas Health care Foundation.
