Cerner Community Showcase


Public invited to view new system for electronic health records


QUINCY, CA, – Plumas District Hospital invites the public to an interactive preview of its new electronic health record, Cerner Millennium CommunityWorks EHR on Wednesday, July 31 from 4-7 pm at the West End Theatre in downtown Quincy.

During this hands-on showcase, attendees can use iPads to explore features of the patient portal and watch a 15-minute Day in the Life video that provides an overview of the fully integrated electronic health record. Attendees will also be able to visit with Plumas District Hospital staff and representatives from Cerner’s implementation team.

The event includes giveaways to attendees and other prizes every half hour. Light refreshments will be available.

The new EHR will go live in September providing an integrated digital record of a patient’s health history. Through the patient portal, patients will be able to send secure messages to their doctor, request appointments, access their health history and pay bills.
